Khanpur Dam is a dam located on the Haro River near Potowar Plateau in Tehsil Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. About 40 km from Islamabad. It forms Khanpur Lake, a reservoir which supplies drinking water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi and irrigation water to many of the agricultural and industrial areas surrounding the cities. It is 167 feet (51 m) high and has a water storing capacity of 110,000 acre feet. The dam was completed in 1983.

You can enjoy the beautiful view of the Dam and lush green mountains on the northern and north-western sides. Best place to spend your summer day, a fresh stream of Haro River cold you in summer, stream coming from Nathia Gali Hills, Murree hills and Sajikot waterfall. there is a lot hotel and restaurant tourist entertain. Bhamala Stupa a beautiful Heritage Site on Haro River located opposite of Khunpar Dam, it can be accessed through a small road 7 km drive at Khanpur from the main road. Bhamala stupa is part of the larger Bhamala Buddhist Complex.
