Gojal Valley is a territory north of Gilgit in the furthest north of Pakistan close to the outskirts with China and Afghanistan. It is the biggest tehsil of the Gilgit-Baltistan self-sufficient territory of northern Pakistan. Gojal Valley offers a spectacular sight owing to its captivating beauty and natural appeal.

Attabad Lake:

The lake 21 km long was formed due to a massive landslide  at Attabad Village in Hunza Valley and block Hunza River in January 2010. More than 20 people were killed and part of Karakorum Highway was submerged due to this landslide and 6,000 people are displaced from upstream villages.
 The lake is at an altitude of 2700 meters, surrounded on all sides by 6000-7000 meter high peaks and glaciers. Attabad Lake also known as Gojal lake,The lake has since become a tourist attraction itself for its unique blue color and dramatic mountain backdrop Northern Areas of Pakistan.

while boating over the lake you will come across with a towering mountain and a hovering Glacier on the way views of glamours Shatubar glacier to the west and the Tupopdan Peak 6,106 m lying to the north, gawush the lofty pasturous mountain stands stout to the south of Gulmit.

It is an ideal place to have some memorable photo sessions and perfect place for relaxing and having a good time .the view of the lake from the Karakoram Highway is amazing,Karakoram Highway most scenic roads in the world. With the formation of the Attabad Lake, its beauty has increased even more.

The boat ride at Attabad Lake is one thing you must do if you are visiting Hunza. Cathedral Peaks can be view from lake famous in Gojal valley
